Take a medium-hard upholstery brush (or a clean fabric brush) and gently brush the fabric against the direction of the pile.
This helps lift fibers that may have been compressed during shipping.
Step 3: Brush in the Opposite Direction
After brushing in one direction, repeat by brushing in the opposite direction.
Working both directions helps redistribute the pile evenly.
Step 4: Repeat Multiple Times
Continue brushing back and forth several times until the pile begins to lift and the pressed marks begin to disappear.
Depending on the fabric and the degree of pile compression, this may take several rounds.
